This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit Woo-Ki’s blogs and websites, use the LabelWatts calculator, or contact the operator.
1. Websites covered by this policy
This policy covers the following websites operated by Woo-Ki in the Republic of Korea:

- World Guide — 세계설명서: world-guide.woo-ki.com
- Other blogs operated by Woo-Ki that expressly link to this page as their privacy policy.

The websites have different features and advertising settings. A feature described for one website does not necessarily apply to the others. Where a website publishes a more specific privacy notice, that notice provides additional information about its particular practices.
2. Information processed when you visit
When you open a webpage, your browser sends technical information needed to deliver it. Depending on the website and services involved, this may include your IP address, requested page, browser and device information, referring page, and request time.
Hosting providers, blogging platforms, and advertising services may process this information to deliver content, maintain their services, prevent abuse, and provide or measure advertising.
If you email the operator, your email address, message, and any attachments are processed to respond to your enquiry.
Cookies and similar technologies may also be used by the blogging platform or advertising providers. The applicable processing depends on the website, your location, available services, and your privacy choices.
3. Tistory blogs
Woo-Ki’s main blog uses Tistory, a blogging platform provided by Kakao.
Tistory and Kakao may process information for platform functions such as account access, comments, security, service operation, and platform advertising. Information you submit through Tistory features is subject to the platform’s settings and applicable privacy policy.
The operator may see information made available through blog administration, such as comments and the public profile information associated with them. Please avoid posting sensitive personal information in public comments.

4. LabelWatts calculator
LabelWatts calculates appliance electricity-use and cost estimates in your browser.
Raw calculator inputs remain in browser memory. LabelWatts does not send those inputs to its server or include them in page addresses, cookies, local storage, session storage, analytics events, application logs, or error reports. The calculator does not pass its input values to the advertising tag.
Resetting the calculator clears its input fields and hides the estimate. Your browser may independently preserve page state.
LabelWatts does not provide accounts or server-side forms and does not enable Google Analytics 4 or other site analytics.
AWS CloudFront delivers LabelWatts from an Amazon S3 origin. AWS processes the technical requests necessary to deliver the website. This infrastructure processing is separate from the calculator values, which the operator does not receive.

5. World Guide
World Guide publishes explanatory articles about world events and everyday topics.
The website does not currently provide registration, login, comments, payment facilities, or an on-site enquiry form. You can contact the operator by email.
Under World Guide’s current published advertising policy, Google advertising is not loaded for visitors identified as being in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or the United States, or when the visitor’s country cannot be determined.
Country detection depends on an estimate of the connection location. VPNs and similar services may affect that estimate. Articles remain available regardless of whether advertising is provided.

6. Google AdSense and advertising
Where Google advertising services are loaded, Google and participating advertising providers may process information such as the page URL, IP address, browser information, cookies, identifiers, and advertising interactions.
This information may be used to deliver and measure advertisements, limit repetition, prevent fraud and abuse, and personalize advertising where permitted.
Third-party advertising vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve advertisements based on previous visits to these websites or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize advertisements using browsing information.
Non-personalized advertising does not necessarily mean that no cookies or personal information are used.

Where an advertising privacy message provides a list of participating providers, use that list to review the providers and their privacy policies. Google’s general partner directory does not, by itself, identify the providers selected for a particular website.
7. European privacy and consent choices
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, consent is required for advertising-related cookies and other processing where applicable law requires it. Reading this policy or continuing to browse does not itself constitute consent.
LabelWatts uses Google’s Privacy & Messaging service. When Google’s consent service is available, the “Privacy and cookie settings” control in the LabelWatts footer allows you to reopen the message, review your options, and change or withdraw consent.
LabelWatts loads Google’s advertising tag to provide privacy messages, including on pages without an advertising unit. Loading the tag may contact Google before you make a choice. Manual advertisement requests wait for the privacy-choice information required by the website.
If the service or required information is unavailable, LabelWatts does not request a manual advertisement. You can continue using the calculator.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. A refusal or withdrawal does not necessarily stop every technical request or all processing that is permitted without consent.
These controls apply to LabelWatts. Other covered blogs may provide their own platform or advertising privacy controls. World Guide’s current regional advertising restrictions are described above.
8. United States privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence and whether the relevant law applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to opt out of its sale, sharing, or use for targeted advertising. Some laws also provide rights concerning sensitive information and appeals against a denied request.
Advertising-related disclosures can qualify as a “sale” or “sharing” under some state laws even when no money is exchanged for the information.
On LabelWatts, “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” appears in the footer when Google’s service identifies an applicable supported US state regulation. Use that control to manage the processing covered by Google’s message.
You may also send privacy requests to wooki.support@gmail.com. Where applicable, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We may ask for the minimum information necessary to verify the request or the agent’s authority.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any applicable limitation or refusal. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights protected by applicable privacy law.
9. Other privacy rights and legal bases
Where applicable law provides these rights, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a portable copy of personal information. You may also object to certain processing and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
For processing under the operator’s responsibility, applicable legal bases may include consent, legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and maintaining a secure website, and compliance with legal obligations. A legitimate-interest basis does not replace consent where consent is legally required.
You may lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority. European visitors can find further information in the European Commission’s guidance on individual data protection rights.
10. Email enquiries and retention
Privacy enquiries are handled through the operator’s personal Gmail inbox.
Your email address and the information you provide are used to understand and respond to your request. Translation tools may be used to understand messages, and those tools may process the text submitted to them.
Once an enquiry is resolved, the operator deletes the enquiry emails from the contact mailbox. This does not guarantee immediate permanent deletion from Gmail trash, provider backups, or translation services.
Platform, hosting, and advertising information is retained according to the relevant provider’s processing purposes, applicable settings, policies, and legal obligations. There is no single retention period covering all these services.
Please do not send passwords, account credentials, electricity bills, customer numbers, payment information, or other sensitive information unless it is necessary to address your request.
11. International processing and service providers
The operator is based in the Republic of Korea. Services used to deliver these websites and respond to enquiries include Kakao/Tistory, Google advertising services, Gmail, and AWS hosting infrastructure.
Depending on the service, information may be processed in the Republic of Korea, the United States, or other countries where the provider operates. Applicable transfer arrangements and safeguards depend on the provider and processing involved.

12. Browser settings and external websites
Your browser may allow you to block cookies or delete stored cookies. Doing so may affect platform functions or remove saved privacy choices.
Google Ad Settings manages Google’s advertising preferences; it does not replace withdrawing consent through the website where consent was given. Choices made on one website or browser may not automatically apply to another.
Links to external websites are governed by those websites’ privacy policies.

This policy may be updated when the covered websites, services, or privacy practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
